Being more animal friendly
Here are a few things that could help you be a more animal friends human being:
What was achieved?
Through my act of civil disobedience, I achieved many great things.
My main goal, which was achieved, was to raise as much awareness of the issue in the cove in Taiji, Japan as possible. Even though many people learned what was happening, and were also against it, no laws were changed. This was quite a shock to many protesters and citizens all over the world.
With the help of many dedicated protesters, we are hoping to have a law made against the killing of these dolphins in the cove, in Taiji, Japan, within the next year.
I know what I did was the right thing, and I hope many blog viewers would believe the same thing!

Who is in this with me?
I am definitely not the only person who thinks the slaughter of dolphins in the cove in Taiji, Japan is wrong. I already know of many people who are on my side, including my family and friends, many organizations, and even a few well known actresses.
In 2007 Hayden Panettiere, along with an Australian actress Isabel Lucas and other activists, went to protest the butchering of dolphins, but they were given a Japanese arrest warrant for trying to stop the slaughter. Hayden actually witnessed the killings by a group of fisherman but then were forced to leave the area as the fisherman got angry and went after them.
I would love to get the chance to do what Hayden and others got to do, which is fight for what they believe in, and what is right.Click this link to watch Hayden Panettiere herself commiting an act of civil disobedience.

How should I stop this?
There are a few things i think would help to stop or at least slow down the slaughter of these harmless creatures. My first goal is to show the world what they are doing in this cove because most of the world has no idea, and would be completely against it. Although, the OPS group has already done a good job of this by making the graphic documentary 'The Cove', which by the way, is a phenomenal documentary which you should watch if you have not already. So, after more people know what is happening, more people will be trying to stop it. There may be the odd few people who will be against trying to stop it, but i can guarantee that people trying to stop what is happening in the cove will greatly over power the others.
I would also educate people about the mercury dangers in the dolphin meat, which could cause nerve damage, cause crippling, or even death. So why do they still coninue to kill the dolphins and eat their meet? They are in denial, and just want the money.
The Japanese fisherman have no good reasons for killing them. In the documentary 'The Cove', the OPS group asked the fisherman what their reasoning was for killing all these dolphins, and they responded with saying it was for their religion. After that, the OPS group went into the heart of Taiji and asked almost 100 people if it was part of their religion to kill dolphins, and they assured us that their religion has nothing to do with slaughtering dolphins.
Another thing I would like to do is cut the nets in the cove and free the dolphins. Although, in 2003, Sea Shepherd exposed the horrific slaughter of dolphins at Taiji, Japan and two Sea Shepherd crew were arrested for diving into the Bay to cut the nets to free 15 dolphins.
I know if I were to do all or any of these things, I am able to get arrested, be banned from japan, could be sued, or there is even a rare chance that i could drown. Although, if the dolphins will be saved, I am okay with any or all of these things to happen to me.

Dolphin Masacre in Taiji.
There are many reasons for which dolphins should not be slaughtered and should have a chance to live. Besides the obvious reasons, which are that animals have rights and killing them is just wrong, by killing all these dolphins, they are driving their species into extinction.
Did you know that dolphins control population of fishes and squids and keep the ecosystems balanced?
If people in Taiji continue to kill these dolphins, the whole ecosystem will turn upside down, the fish and squids would be out of control; and we could be struggling to survive.
The smart decision for this problem would just be to stop excessively killing dolphins.
